More than 250 students from all over Northeast Ohio excel academically at Lawrence School Campus. We integrate research-based methodologies to meet every student’s learning needs. The following hallmarks of our program ensure our students reach their academic potential:
Our faculty, who have special training in learning differences, expertly draw on individualized, evidence-based teaching strategies to honor unique learning styles and help every student reach their “a-ha” moment. In addition to academic success, our goal is for students to fully understand how they learn best and what tools they need to be successful. We know we’ve done our job well when our students advocate for themselves and employ this knowledge outside classroom walls. Click here to learn more.
With an average of only 10 learners per classroom, students receive personalized attention from every staff member consistently throughout their school experience. Their close relationships with teachers and peers are the key to academic and social success.
We thoughtfully implement assistive technology to enhance learning and level the playing field. Among other tools, every student in grades 7–12 receives a chromebook or laptop. All textbooks are digitized, which makes them accessible in multiple formats and allows teachers to annotate the texts and upload their comments to students’ Google drives instantly. Teaching students to use assistive technology supports their long-term independence and production of high-quality work. Click here to learn more.

How We Teach
Our teachers know students learn differently
We know “it takes a village to raise a child" and our advisors are important members of that village at Lawrence’s Upper School Campus.
We understand homework is often a source of significant and chronic stress for students and their families. That’s why we do homework differently!
Social Emotional Wellness
Respect and acceptance for self and others form the foundation of our school.
High School Academics
Our college-preparatory curriculum resembles that of traditional schools, but with a much lower student-to-teacher ratio and a distinctive Lawrence twist.
Middle School Academics
Middle School classes build a bridge between the growth of foundational skills and grade-level content, ensuring learners are prepared for high school. Every lesson is presented using a multisensory instructional approach and integrates assistive technology.
College and Career Planning
Lawrence students and their parents are supported throughout the entire future planning process
It is particularly important for students who learn differently to have the opportunity to grow talents and skills outside of the classroom. Lawrence’s robust student life programming is designed to strengthen our school community and further the social and emotional development of our students.
Orton-Gillingham. What is it?
Our commitment to multisensory learning is rooted in decades of research on how the dyslexic mind retains new information.
