The Lawrence School Board of Trustees is comprised of current parents, alumni parents, and community leaders who care deeply about the mission of the school.
The responsibility of the Board includes: strategic planning, overseeing financial viability, hiring the Head of School, and working with school leadership to define the mission, vision, and guiding principles.
William Fudge III
William Fudge III serves as Vice President, Software Engineering at OEConnection. William first joined the company as an intern and has continued to advance through the software engineering ranks at OEC.
Contributing in numerous roles over his 20 years of service, William has held leadership roles in Software Development, Business Intelligence, Infrastructure, and UX/UI.
Mr. Fudge holds a Master of Business Administration from Baldwin Wallace University, graduating with business honors, and a Bachelor of Science in computer science from the University of Akron.
He is thrilled to be a part of the Lawrence School Board of Trustees. In addition, he is a member of the Akron Early College Advisory Board at The University of Akron, and is active in the Northeast Ohio tech community participating in volunteer opportunities and other partnerships.
He lives in Macedonia with his wife Chelci and their two children.Collapse
Troy D. Thomas
Troy Thomas is Senior Vice President and Group Information Security Leader within Wells Fargo’s Information and Cyber Security group. Troy provides leadership and oversight in all areas of information security for the consumer and small business banking, consumer lending and corporate strategy, digital platforms and innovation.
Prior to joining Wells Fargo, Troy had a 23-year career at KeyBank where he spent the last 11 years as Chief Security Officer. In addition to serving as CSO, Troy also held the dual role of Chief Administrative Officer for Key’s IT group and led Technology Risk Management.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from Cleveland State University. He has also completed an Executive Leadership Program at CASE Weatherhead School of Management and an Implementing Strategy Program at Wharton School for Executive Management.
Troy has been a member of the Lawrence School Board since 2004. In addition, he is the past president of the Northeast Ohio chapter of the Society for Information Management professional organization.Collapse
Tracey F. Weaver
Tracey Weaver is a Neurology Product Manager at United Healthcare Group. In her role, she enables leaders to meet business goals by mining insights and building bridges to new possibilities. Tracey brings extensive cross-industry expertise in strategic planning/implementation, marketing, branding, and communications experience from her 25-year career to all tasks, projects, and client engagements.
Tracey has extended her business expertise to the classroom through her experiential teaching style. She has served as an adjunct professor at Montclair State University, School of Business where she was a recipient of the distinctive University President’s Award for innovative teaching style in her first teaching experience. As a guest lecturer to graduate management students at Case Western Reserve University, Tracey has presented on strategic planning and market research tools.
A native of New York City, Tracey relocated from Montclair, New Jersey to greater Cleveland in 2005 with her husband and family and proudly considers herself a Midwesterner with flair! Her son is a graduate of Lawrence School, Class of 2016.Collapse
Thomas A. Clark
Tom Clark is the Chief Financial Officer at Morino Ventures LLC. In his role, he serves as the organization’s treasurer and is accountable for the finance, accounting, and risk management functions of the business. He also provides support to philanthropic, educational, and civic initiatives of the Morino Institute and family.
Prior to his position at Morino Ventures LLC, he served for three years as CFO of Eppco Enterprises, Inc., a privately-owned product import and manufacturing business. Before that, Tom spent 24 years with IMG, a privately-owned international sports, entertainment, and media company. Hired as a client accountant, he assumed increasing responsibilities in IMG’s financial department and became Senior Vice President and Worldwide Controller in 1998, a title he held until 2005.
Tom received a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Dyke College and earned his Executive M.B.A. from Case Western Reserve University in 1993. He is a CPA, a certification he has held since 1985.
Tom has been a member of Lawrence’s Board since 2010. Over the years, he has served in various non-profit organization roles such as a finance committee member, financial secretary and treasurer.
A life-long Cleveland resident, Tom currently lives in Rocky River with his wife Beth, and their daughter.Collapse
Susan R. Karas
Susan Karas brings over 30 years of experience working in healthcare, education, and social services to her work today. Susan is founder and president of Akouo, LLC, a counseling, coaching, and consulting enterprise that combines expertise in counseling and supervision with an understanding, passion, and drive to help small nonprofits achieve organization effectiveness and greater impact. Akouo is a Greek word that translates to “I listen”, a guiding principle of the organization.
Her diverse professional background has taken her from critical care nursing to agency and private practice counseling to university teaching and seminar presentations. Her interest in nonprofit work spans three decades. She is a founding member of the Northeast Ohio Bereavement Council and served on the advisory board of Cornerstone of Hope.
As a member of the Board of Trustees since 2001, Susan served as the President of the Board of Trustees for Lawrence School (2007- 2016). During her tenure, she was instrumental in co-leading the school through a period of transformative change.
Susan is a member of the Hellenic Preservation Society and runs several youth programs at St. Paul Greek Orthodox Church. The time spent directing the young adult Greek dance troupe and rap sessions for teens are among her favorite activities. She also serves on Cleveland Clinic Children's Leadership Council.
She earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Baldwin Wallace University and a master’s in clinical counseling from the University of Akron. Her post-graduate work is in the areas of assessment, diagnosis, and leadership development. She holds current licenses in both Nursing and Counseling in the State of Ohio.
A lifelong resident of Northeast Ohio, Susan lives in Richfield with her husband Arthur. They have two grown children who are making their way in the world from New York and Boston. Her son is a graduate of Lawrence School, Class of 2010.
Sara M. Timken
Sara Timken is a spiritual guide, hobby farmer, counselor, master crafter, chef, nutritionist, super spouse, and awesome mother to three wonderful daughters. In her spare time, Sara is a licensed real estate agent for Keller Williams Legacy Group and the leasing agent for a large industrial reuse project in Canton.
She earned her bachelor’s in business economics from the College of Wooster. One of her passions is hobby farming. Sara has raised chickens for farm fresh eggs, managed two large gardens, and is working towards raising other livestock and bees.
In addition to serving on the Lawrence School Board of Trustees, she is the President of the Hoover Swim and Dive Parents Board.
Sara lives on a farm in Canton with her husband Bob and their three daughters. She loves spending time with her family and friends. Her oldest daughter is a graduate of Lawrence School, Class of 2017.Collapse
Robert W. Lampus
Bob Lampus recently retired as General Counsel, Chief Operating Officer of the Dawson Companies/AssuredPartners of Ohio. Prior to Dawson Companies, he served as the President of Lampus Insurance Agency for nearly 20 years.
Bob earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration in insurance and risk management from The Ohio State University. He went on to earn a Juris Doctor from Cleveland State University.
In 2015, Bob joined the Lawrence School Board of Trustees. His other philanthropic service includes the Insurance Board of Greater Cleveland, Independent Insurance Agents of Ohio and RiskProNet, an international group of Professional Insurance Brokers.
Bob and his wife Linda live in Rocky River; they have four grown children and eight grandchildren. In his free time Bob enjoys golf, travel, and spending time with his family.Collapse
Robert G. Risman
Rob Risman is the President/CEO of Burton Carol Management LLC, a property management firm with properties in Ohio, Florida, and Michigan. He coordinates, directs, and oversees all legal matters, supports, and assists in-house divisions with regard to all aspects of day-to-day company affairs and operations. Additionally, Rob directs company acquisition and disposition strategies.
Rob is a member of the Florida and New York Bar Associations and holds a corporate council designation for his company with the Ohio Bar. Rob is a licensed real estate broker in the state of Ohio.
In addition to serving on Lawrence School’s Board of Trustees, Rob is a member of the following boards: Kent State University Foundation Board, University Hospitals Board of Trustees, Ohio Apartment Association Board, and the Case Western Reserve University Cancer Council.
He received his bachelor’s from Tulane University before earning his law degree from the University of Miami School of Law.
Rob and his wife Trish live in Chagrin Falls with their two sons. They are proud Lawrence parents.Collapse
Robert B. Port
Rob Port is a Partner at Hahn Loeser + Parks LLP. He has extensive experience in complex commercial litigation, including class action, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, enforcement of non-compete agreements, employee raiding, unfair compensation, and trade secrets.
Before earning his law degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Law, Rob worked as a senior engineer for Northrop Grumman Corporation. He received his Bachelor of Science from Drexel University and his master’s in mechanical engineering from The Catholic University of America.
In addition to serving on the Lawrence School Board of Trustees, Rob is a longtime member, and former chair, of the Camp Wise Committee at the Mandel Jewish Community Center. Rob is also a former member of the Board of Trustees for the Mandel Jewish Community Center and the Jewish Federation of Cleveland Community Relations Committee.
Rob lives with his wife Cyndi and their three children and two dogs in Beachwood. His daughter is a current high school student at Lawrence.Collapse
Nathaniel E. Leonard
Nat Leonard is the Group President of Life Sciences at Smithers, an Akron-based testing and consulting firm. Nat has over 25 years of general management and functional leadership experience. He has run startups and multinational enterprises. Nat’s roles have ranged from running businesses to leading commercial, manufacturing, supply chain, and information technology teams. His industry experience includes financial services, internet startups, construction, electronics, industrial, medical, metals, military systems, vehicle components, and consulting.
He earned his M.B.A. with honors from the Harvard Business School and his Bachelor of Arts in computer studies and economics from Northwestern University.
Nat is an engaged and passionate advocate for education, serving on the boards of several private schools. In addition to his years of service on the Lawrence School Board of Trustees, he currently serves on the board of Western Reserve Academy and was head of the board of trustees at Old Trail School.
He and his wife Liz live in Hudson, Ohio. They have two grown daughters. His youngest daughter is a graduate of Lawrence School, Class of 2015.Collapse
