Mr. Edward M. Hume
Upper School Teacher
B.S. Kent State University
What drew me to Lawrence: The mission of the school really sets it apart. Having a positive effect on my students is so important to me, especially when it comes to setting them up for success, and Lawrence seemed like the best place to impact the future.
Best part of the day: There's a certain excitement at the beginning of every class. No class period is a carbon copy of another, and I love those first few moments of setting the tone and jumping into the lesson.
Favorite subject to teach: United States history and world history.
Spotted off-campus: It doesn't matter what sport it is, if there's a game—I'm there! I love following my favorite teams and I'm a fan of just about every sport.
