Mrs. Katie Troy
Lower School Teacher
B.S. Kent State University
M.A. Kent State University
Why I love my job: I've known I would one day become a teacher since I was in kindergarten. I struggled with reading when I was younger and have developed many strategies to overcome the challenge. I love that I can now give back to students who face similar struggles and help them succeed.
Best part of the day: Watching my students come into my classroom excited to learn as much as I am excited to teach. To have this opportunity to provide students with quality learning and the understanding that even when things get hard, you can still succeed is incredible.
Spotted off-campus: I love to craft and make decor, clothing items, and more! I also love to be outside and can be spotted taking walks with my fiancé and our two dogs.
Something others don’t know about me: I am an Irish step-dancer. I started taking lessons at the age of five and competed twice at the Irish Open in Dublin, Ireland.
