What drew me to Lawrence: Four of my children have dyslexia. We tried to work within the school system in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, for many years and then we tried homeschooling. It wasn’t sustainable. As a native of Cleveland, my parents invited my family to move in with them for a year to attend Lawrence. I knew a move to Ohio would require me to re-enter the workforce after raising my six girls. I saw the profound impact Lawrence had on my girls and I wanted to be part of the faculty that could play an instrumental role in the education of other students.

An accomplishment I'm proud of: I said I would never run a full marathon. But when my triplets were toddlers, I lugged them to the Y with me several times a week to train for the Louisiana Marathon. Having my kids cheer for me throughout the course and then meet me at the finish line was one of my proudest moments.

Something others don't know about me: My family, having never camped, took a three week tent camping trip during the pandemic. We saw the Cadillac Ranch, the Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, the Bonneville Salt Flats, Yellowstone, and the Black Hills. To this day, it’s the most memorable experience for my family.

Spotted off-campus: I enjoy attending my kids’ sporting events, playing Catan with my husband, and puzzles. I love running and listening to audiobooks.
