Mr. Douglas Hamilton
Head of School

M.S. West Virginia University
Why I love my job: When you place a child in the right environment, you get a front-row seat to one of the most amazing transformations, watching them go from "I can't do this" to "Okay, I'll try" to "I did it!”
Best part of the day: I am one of our biggest athletic fans and often show up at practice to join in on drills. I also join science experiments in class—unless they're dissecting. I truly enjoy lunch, too, because you get a glimpse into the soul of a school.
Something others don’t know about me: My wife is a runner, and in order to spend time with her, I had to start running, too! I’ve even completed some marathons.
Spotted off-campus: I spend time outside as much as possible. I enjoy running, hiking, biking, kayaking, and any activity that keeps me in motion.
