Lawrence School, class of 2014
B.A. University of Rochester, class of 2018
M.A. Christie’s Education, New York, class of 2019
What’s life like in the big apple? I live in Brooklyn and work for a gallery in Tribeca. I feel like I’m always on the move since NYC is constantly changing. I’ve learned to love this about the city because it gives me the ability to be creative, explore, and expand my world views.
What did you study and why? I followed my passions and studied art history and fine arts. U of R and Christie’s both gave me the chance to excel in what I love, and Lawrence did the same.
Where do you see yourself in the next five years? I hope to be working in a museum—possibly in NYC or another large city. With how quickly the world is changing, anything is possible and opportunities are endless. I want to keep an open mind and see where life takes me!
What is your favorite Lawrence memory? It’s funny because my favorite Lawrence memory happened after I graduated! I was honored to speak at the class of 2018’s graduation ceremony. I gained many skills at Lawrence that helped me succeed, although, I didn’t realize how much I used these skills until I wrote my speech for that event. If it wasn’t for Lawrence, I wouldn’t have even graduated college, let alone earned a master’s degree. Being on campus again brought all of those wonderful memories flooding back.
How would your classmates remember you? Probably by my loud and recognizable laugh that was constantly heard across the building!
What advice do you have for current Lawrence students? In college, I learned very quickly there will always be hurdles in front of you. But it’s whether you choose to jump over them or turn back that will change your life.
