High School Teacher - Learning Strategies

Full-Time, 10-Month Employee, Sagamore Hills Campus

Make a difference every day! Lawrence School seeks a highly qualified, charismatic, and inspiring educator to teach High School Learning Strategies to students.

Learning Strategies is a course that thoughtfully and intentionally teaches the crucial academic, personal, and social skills that promote success both here at Lawrence and for the 21st century. Students will learn strategies for learning in a media-rich 21st-century world: study skills, communication (text and spoken) to multiple audiences, time management, listening comprehension, research skills, and lateral reading strategies. The course builds on the earlier courses in the Learning Strategies program by developing critical thinking and analytical skills students will use in Lawrence and beyond.

Through professional development and continuous on-site training, our talented faculty of educators reach beyond their content areas to become experts in the way learners process information. Our signature small class sizes and supportive environment allow teachers and students alike to find unparalleled success.
