Matthew R. Janack is a litigation attorney at Gallagher Sharp, LLP in Cleveland, Ohio. Throughout his career, he has served as a first-chair trial attorney responsible for developing and coordinating defense strategies in complex civil matters. Matthew has built extensive experience handling professional liability, accounting malpractice, and complex medical malpractice issues. He also previously served the public as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's Office, where he built and independently managed criminal cases from investigation through trial verdict.

Matthew graduated cum laude from The University of Akron with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, where he also served as a Resident Assistant and Vice President of Internal Affairs for the Residence Hall Council. He went on to earn his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Toledo College of Law. During law school, he was an executive board member and the Note and Comment Editor for the Law Review, received the Judge Carr Writing Award for excellence in legal research and writing, and maintained Dean’s List honors every semester. Matthew has been admitted to the Ohio State Bar since November 2019. He is a proud alumnus of Lawrence School, graduating with the Class of 2012.
