College Credit Plus (CCP) is Ohio’s dual-enrollment program that allows rising students in grades 7–12 to earn both high school and college credit at the same time.
If your child is considering CCP for the 2025–2026 school year, please plan to attend our virtual CCP presentation on Monday, January 12, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. This meeting is required annually for all interested families per the State of Ohio’s funding guidelines.
RSVP to Lisa Brogan at lbrogan@lawrenceschool.org or 330.908.6826. A Zoom link will be emailed after registration.
During the presentation, you will:
Learn about CCP classes offered at Lawrence for rising 10th–12th graders, additional opportunities for qualified underclassmen, and the State of Ohio’s eligibility requirements.
Hear directly from Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C) professors about college-level expectations, student responsibilities, and the skills needed for success (academic, social, emotional, and executive functioning).
Receive updated guidance on qualification requirements, testing, and next steps for participation in the 2025–2026 school year.
While Ohio makes CCP available to rising 7th–12th graders, Lawrence recommends CCP primarily for qualified juniors and seniors due to scheduling and curriculum considerations.
Annually, the State of Ohio and Tri-C amend the qualifying criteria for each grade level based on prior student data and success. The specific qualifications and steps required for the upcoming school year will be reviewed in detail during the presentation.
Qualifying factors may include:
Rising grade level
Cumulative GPA
Previous Lawrence High School coursework and grades
Possible required placement test scores (to determine college readiness) at Tri-C
Accommodations: CCP students are eligible for Tri-C–approved accommodations at the collegiate level for both placement tests and CCP classes. The College and Career Planning Center will help your child coordinate with Tri-C’s Student Accessibility Services department to obtain approvals.
Important Note: Students below a rising 10th grader who place into CCP may take classes directly through Tri-C but cannot take CCP courses at Lawrence due to the middle school curriculum and block scheduling.
Upper School Academic Dean, Rama Janamanchi, will support qualified families with scheduling—including coordinating early dismissal from Lawrence if students need to travel to a Tri-C campus for late-afternoon courses.
