Upper Campus
Expanded Learning Spaces

Upper Campus classrooms are set up to consistently distance students by six feet. However, in some situations, alternate learning spaces, staffed by faculty, will be used on a rotating basis.

For example: If a classroom has a max capacity of 10 and there are 12 students enrolled (plus the teacher), 3 students will need an alternative learning space. These spaces could be the theatre, Life Skills Room, an empty classroom, or even the gym. Students will report to the alternate space and use their school-issued computers to rejoin their scheduled class via Zoom. Teachers and students can still interact via video and audio feed. Additionally, teachers in the alternate learning spaces will support students by answering questions and assisting with technology issues.

New Upper Campus Arrival & Dismissal Policy

  • Grades 7 and 8 will use the building’s main entrance. Students in grade 7 should use the right set of doors and students in the 8th grade should use the left set of doors.  Students should report to the Blue Commons, and then the gymnasium, at staff direction.
  • Grades 9 and 10 will use the fine arts entrance, near the back of the building. Students should report to the Green Commons and then the theatre, at staff direction.
  • Grades 11 and 12 will use the campus life entrance, near the bell tower. Students should report to the Red Commons and then the LRC, at staff direction.

  • Student drivers will be released to their cars at 3:10 p.m., via the same door they entered through in the morning.
  • Bus riders will be released to their buses at 3:15 p.m., through the same door they entered through in the morning.
  • Single rider and carpool riders will wait in the gym for their rides to be called, and then they will move to the front entrance to meet their rides in 1-2 person groupings.
