In 2019-20, 75% of our student body used the Jon Peterson Scholarship to assist in payment of tuition.
The program provides scholarships to students who are eligible to attend kindergarten through 12th grade and have an Individualized Education Program (IEP) from their district of residence. The amount of each scholarship is based on the disability identified on the student's IEP and does not exceed $27,000. On average, most Lawrence School students qualify for approximately $10,000 through this scholarship.
Before a family may consider using JPS at Lawrence School, the student must first be accepted into Lawrence School by the Office of Admission. For more information about applying to Lawrence School, please see: Admissions Process.
After you have completed the application process and have been accepted into Lawrence School, you will be contacted by our Office of Student Advocacy and Support Services. The SASS department will answer all of your Jon Peterson Scholarship questions and handle all of the paperwork involved in t.
NOTE: Due to recent state legislation, application deadlines have been eliminated for the Jon Peterson Special Needs Scholarship program. The scholarship can be accessed at any point throughout the academic year.
In education, one size clearly does not fit all.
