“One of the main reasons we recently moved to Ohio is so our daughter could attend Lawrence School. After only a couple of months, we know we made the right decision. Our daughter now actually enjoys school and is truly learning. Most astonishing is that she is becoming an avid reader – something she used to run from.”

"I was diagnosed with dyslexia in grade school, and told that I would never be a 'normal' student or adult. My teacher actually told my parents she would have to give me failing grades before the school would even consider testing me, or starting me on an IEP (Individualized Education Plan). Then my family found Lawrence, where I attended for five years before graduating in 2006.

Currently, I attend Notre Dame College, where I am studying Information Systems and Multimedia; and maintaining a 3.4 grade point average. I truly believe that Lawrence helped prepare me for college better than any other school could - both academically and socially. I am confident about my abilities, my self-esteem is great, and I am more outgoing than I used to be. I honestly don't think I would even be enrolled in college today if it wasn't for my experience at Lawrence School."

Daniel Symons, 2006 Lawrence School Graduate

Currently attending Notre Dame College

“Lawrence has given me the chance to academically perform on the same level as other students. I am now in college and although my major/minor coursework is very difficult, I am able to do the work and ask questions along the way. Not only am I prepared for the academic world, I am prepared socially, breaking the ice by getting my classmates to laugh hysterically when they’re stressed out.”

Stephen Mitchell, 2007 Lawrence School Graduate, currently attending Valparaiso University

“We have been impressed with every member of the Lawrence faculty and administration in the way they work collaboratively to ensure our daughter’s academic and social success.”

“Lawrence allowed me to walk into the light. I don’t feel different any more.”

Quotes from Prospective Students on Day Visits:

"I had the greatest day of school ever! I made three new friends and it didn't even matter that I was smaller than some of them. The memory board really makes sense. It was like a light bulb went off during math class, things just seemed easier."

"It was a great day! The teachers called on everyone and knew exactly who was having difficulty, and then they helped them."

"Dad, the other students were really cool and they wanted to get to know ME!"

"Mom, I didn't know school could be so much fun! School doesn't have to be hard!"
